About Me

Welcome to my portfolio

I'm a student of Applied Physics at the University of Twente located in Enschede, The Netherlands. Interests of mine range from physics to computer science, and I pursue a career that covers both of these fields. I spend my spare time creating applications for commercial as well as non-commercial uses, these can be viewed in the portfolio section. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my work.

Programming languages

Experience with various programming languages

The first programming language I learned was JavaScript, mostly in middle school with a group of like-minded friends. Because JS is mostly used for client-side code it made sense to move more into web development by learning HTML and CSS. In the last year of middle school I discovered the potential of Python, and it became my language of preference. When in my first two years of university the languages Matlab and C++ were useful. Matlab was used mostly for the analysis of lab assignment data and C++ was optional for an Arduino project.

More recently I began developing applications in NodeJS, which proved to be very useful for setting up a web service where users all need to see the same content.
